  • Cupping therapy is an form of alternative medicine which uses special cups to create suction on the surface of your skin. Cupping is said to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being. The suction of the cups draws blood to the affected area to promote healing.
  • Dry-needling is used with the goal of releasing or inactivating trigger points to relieve pain or improve range of motion. Dry needling involves an extremely fine needle that penetrates the skin and stimulates the underlying myofascial trigger points and muscular connective tissues. The needle allows a physiotherapist to target tissues that are not manually palpable.
  • Acupuncture is a complementary medicine that involves pricking the skin or tissues with extremely fine needles to help alleviate pain, stress and tension. Unlike dry-needling, needles are usually left in place for 5-20minutes, stimulating nerves in the muscles.
